Dr. Balder graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Champaign, Illinois, with a degree in chemistry and earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois in Chicago. His commitment to excellence led him to complete his surgery residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

A fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, he holds Board Certification with the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Balder's commitment to patient care and pioneering spirit in weight loss techniques positions him as a trusted leader in the field.
